Finals Night - 1st September 2022
Apologies that we must cut the League short, but the weather has been horrendous and with Xmas parties on the horizon we couldn’t run it any further into December.
Thanks to all that have played.
The 8pm games have been split into 2 teams Team White and Team Gold
The winning team of the 8pm games will play Team Green (top 2 players in each group) at 9pm
Hard luck to anyone that didn’t make it through to Thursday night. For anyone that was tied on points in any of the groups, names were drawn from a hat to see who progressed so sorry if you missed out.
If anyone can’t make it, please let Donal know and he will fill your spot with a player from your respective group that didn’t progress to finals night.
Hard luck to our Tommy Jackson team who were beaten on Saturday in the annual friendly with Crosshaven Tennis Club. In very challenging conditions they went down fighting. Our thanks to the water sweepers who helped clear the courts of excess water and to our captain on the day Antoinette who helped ensure a warm welcome was extended to our visitors.
The much-anticipated North V South Social Event took place on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17th, at 6.30pm.
After the North's comprehensive victory last year and due to numerous complaints, to 'The Powers That Be', from the South this Year’s Event was to be a different format than last Year's. Members from North and South turned out to try to capture the coveted Rosies Trophy. After some hard fought matches the South were the Victors!
John Gargan received the Trophy on behalf of the Team from the South. Well done everyone, it was a very enjoyable night. Thanks to
Donal for organising.

On Friday Night the 6th Aug at 7.15pm, the settlers on the Northside of Carrigaline will take on the Southside in the Annual unique Team Challenge. This year’s captains will be Tom Noonan for the South and Louise Cogan for the North.
Louise has confirmed in a recent interview that her North team are in great shape and can't wait to bring the famous Rosie's cup North of the Owenabue this year.

It promises to be a great night and to add to the mild rivalry. The winning team on the night will receive a free drink as well as bragging rights for 12 months.
